The signpost in millimetres as ASCII STL. STL has no unit field either, but every slicer assumes millimetres, which is why an STL exported in metres arrives as a 1 mm speck and one exported in inches arrives 25.4x too big.

An ASCII STL of the reference cube with two extra facets that have no area and declare a null (0 0 0) normal, exactly what CAD tessellators emit at a sliver. Slicers either drop them, warn, or divide by zero; this is how you find out which.

One closed faceted BREP with six planar faces. Triangulation yields 12 triangles, eight unique geometric positions, bounds 0,0,0 to 40,30,20 mm, surface area 5,200 mm² and volume 24,000 mm³. Hard-normal vertices may be duplicated.

A procedurally-built teapot (a surface-of-revolution body and lid with a stepped spout, a torus handle, and a knob) as a self-contained GLB. The classic teapot shape, for testing 3D loaders and the model viewer.

A UV-mapped cube with an embedded 128×128 checkerboard PNG texture and a PBR material, all packed into one self-contained GLB. A fixture for testing texture and UV handling, embedded-image extraction, and PBR material loading.

The signpost as USDZ with `upAxis = "Y"` and `metersPerUnit = 1` in the stage metadata. USD is the only format in this group that declares BOTH the axis and the scale, which is exactly why it is the one AR pipelines standardised on.

A 10 mm cube as USDZ: Pixar's Universal Scene Description packaged as a stored zip, the format Apple uses for AR Quick Look. For testing USD/USDZ readers and conversion.

A single-image 3D reconstruction of silver sedan parked on a suburban street, written as binary glTF, geometry addressed through an accessor table. Its twin in this group is the same mesh written as the other format, from ONE reconstruction rather than two runs - so the pair tests whether a reader returns the same geometry from two containers with nothing in common. Both hold 46,924 vertices and 93,864 triangles; those counts were read from the GLB's accessor table and by counting lines in the OBJ, by separate code, and a disagreement would have stopped this shipping. It is closed: every edge belongs to exactly two triangles, so there are no holes and no non-manifold edges. The bounding box measures 0.1883 x 1.0252 x 1.0176 units.

A single-image 3D reconstruction of green farm tractor in a field, written as binary glTF, geometry addressed through an accessor table. Its twin in this group is the same mesh written as the other format, from ONE reconstruction rather than two runs - so the pair tests whether a reader returns the same geometry from two containers with nothing in common. Both hold 39,934 vertices and 79,876 triangles; those counts were read from the GLB's accessor table and by counting lines in the OBJ, by separate code, and a disagreement would have stopped this shipping. It is closed: every edge belongs to exactly two triangles, so there are no holes and no non-manifold edges. The bounding box measures 0.1436 x 1.0322 x 1.0196 units.

A cube with a different colour at each of its eight vertices, interpolated across the faces (COLOR_0 attribute), as a GLB. Paired with a PLY twin, for testing per-vertex colour handling.

The same per-vertex-coloured cube as ASCII PLY with red/green/blue vertex properties: the Stanford-format twin of the GLB, for testing PLY colour parsing.

A ground-floor plan for Willow Event Kitchen as DXF R2010, 16.0 by 10.0 metres, 160.0 square metres gross with a 70.0 square metre kitchen. 8 AIA-style layers authored (10 in the file, because a DXF always carries layer 0 and Defpoints), two furniture blocks referenced rather than exploded, closed room boundaries so area is computable, aligned dimensions, a hatched kitchen floor and MTEXT notes. Seating is laid on a grid and stops when the floor runs out, so 0 covers are drawn. $INSUNITS is set to 6 (metres) rather than left at 0, because an unset unit is the single most common cause of a drawing importing at a thousand times its size. Synthetic premises, not a real building.
